Due to the high linear density of the yarn in the filter cloth , it is difficult 
for the fluid to pass throught the gaps bwtween the yarns or fibers, but only throught
the proes between the warp and weft . Although the pores are large and straight through,
so that the resistance to the fluid is small, its 30% to 40% porosity is difficult to meet
some high -precision filtration , so the woven filter material the filtration resistance 
is still relatively large.

In addition, it is difficult for the mechanism filter material to form a filter cake,
because at the beginning of the filtration , the woven filter material is not easy to cut 
the smaller particles , and can only cut some slightly larger particles ,and can only cut 
some slightly larger particles so that the woven filter material will soon be blocked,
resulting in filtration resistance is significantly increased .Therefore, wovwn filter
materials have both advantages and disadvantages.
In addition, the structure of the woven filter material and the difference of the raw
materials make it used in different occasions .The difference of these two factors has
a great influence on the physical and mechanical performance and filtration charaacteristics
of the woven filter material .Generally,ordinary chemical fibers such as polyester ,
polypropylene , nylon and other fibers and glass fibers are used in some case where
the performance is not very high ; while some high -performance fibers such as carbon
fiber,polytetrafluoroethylene fiber (PTFE), polyphenylene sulfide(ppS),basalt fiber,
etc. are used under the conditions of some special filtering occasions.
